Adding Lifeline To My Life

Three years back when one of my friends lost her husband in a tragic car accident, reality dawned upon all of us. Is life that fragile and unpredictable? It can take an unexpected turn and in the blink of an eye, life falls like a deck of cards. She was newlywed and pregnant with no financial security. There was no one to support her and the unborn child. Her situation was a learning lesson for all of her friends - married or single. We took stock of things and started planning our future on a very serious note.

All of us talked about our financial independence and vowed never to leave our jobs. Not only that, we started planning - saving for emergencies, investing for future obligations and searching for a good life insurance policy. All of us were quite negligent on the products available in the insurance market. We only knew couple of old insurance brands from our parents, but none of them offered what we were looking for. Our requirements were very specific and when we searched we found that there are flood of insurance policies in the market, which led to more confusion. If one policy offered a good return, it’s tenure was too high and if we compromised on tenure, the policy came with too many conditions. In short, we didn’t get what we wanted. I don’t know about others, but I took the basic life insurance policy from one company and my husband opted for a retirement plan from another. Recently, I stumbled upon Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance website and I got to know the various aspects of insurance. Also, I found out exactly what I was looking for a couple of years back. It’s way better than the life insurance I have. Edelweiss Tokio Life - MyLife+ - a term insurance policy that has minimum conditions with maximum benefits for all age groups and tenure.

Here’s a look at its features -

Since the features are flexible and benefits are tempting, I couldn’t resist from getting a quote. First step was some basic questions - date of birth, gender, lifestyle and income. Second step asked for your goals and needs - benefit type, sum assured, cover term and payment frequency. This step actually answered those concerns which my earlier policy couldn’t. And as soon as I filled these questions and pressed proceed, I got a detailed life insurance quote. When I saw the annual premium for my target insurance amount, I was happily surprised. I fuss and stress a lot about future which if insured through a good company is just few bucks away. It looks like a tiny amount to secure our future and to be prepared for all contingencies. A simple and easy way to get peace of mind.

Now I am planning to buy this policy and suggest it to my near and dears. For all of you - analyze your insurance needs and secure your future with Edelweiss Tokio Life - MyLife+. And as far as my friend is concerned, she is working and is financially secure.

  6. Buying insurance is one of the big decisions to make as a working professional. Its unfortunate that many of us are forced to experience pain and loss to finally realize that we need to seek financial independence of the people we leave behind.. The plan you are referring to, seems to be a good plan. Think I need to explore that option.. Thanks Saru..

  20. Insurance is very important, this we all know. But you will be surprised to know that still today many people do not know how it works. I have seen people who will say "I love my wife so am planning to take a policy on her name'. Look at the irony of this statement - if you want to secure someone's future, you don't have to take policy on their name. Rather, take it on your name (the person who is the bread-earner) and make the dependents as beneficiaries of that policy. This is mostly true with the businessmen and not salaried ones.
