Bling it on...

Who doesn’t like a gorgeous piece of jewelry? A chic pair of earrings for everyday use, a cocktail ring to complete that party look and a traditional necklace to flaunt at a wedding. I love every aspect of jewelry - buying, gifting, shopping, window shopping, browsing the catalogs and my favorite pastime, surfing online jewelry stores. You see, I like to keep myself updated with trends and I am always on the lookout for new stores. New stores - that have fresh designs, better deals and sell authentic jewelry at reasonable prices. In my list of favorite stores the latest addition is Candere.

Last weekend, while I was searching for online jewellery shopping in India, I landed on Candere. I must say, they have a large and stunning collection on their site - from jewelry for everyday wear to classics, from gold bars to custom-made and from solitaries to gemstones. I am currently searching and saving for bangles and there are plenty of designs on their websites. Though many of them caught my fancy but there are two designs that I finally zeroed in. Hopefully, I would be buying them sometime soon. However, what I loved most about this site is not one but two things. First, there are many pieces that we can customize in different types of metal - yellow and white gold in 14 and 18 carats. This is a great feature, not only one can choose the metal color but can also reduce the price of a jewelry piece by switching to 14 carats and save some bucks for the next purchase. A jewelry buff like me digs on such specifications.

And secondly, one can see how the jewelry is priced - they have the cost break-up. One can see the cost of base metal, diamonds, gemstones, making charges and VAT in all the items. This makes the shopping experience pretty self-explanatory. This has helped me in narrowing down the pieces I would like to buy in future. I even suggested Candere to one of my friends in India and she too loved it. She was looking for diamonds earrings to gift to her mom on her birthday and she found many designs on Candere that fits her taste and budget. We even decided to buy gold for Akshaya Tritiya from them this year. Why step outside in scorching heat when we can get a good product from the comforts of our living rooms? In fact, last evening when I was free I surfed Candere and added few of the things in my wishlist too. I’ve bookmarked them for future. Their designs are so tempting, modern and elegant and it’s quite impossible to resist them. And for all the jewelry fanatics like me, Candere products comes with insured free shipping, jewelry certifications and lifetime exchange. The USP of the product is its bespoke international designs and it’s also available on EMI. Amazing, isn’t it! Here are a few pieces in my wishlist - savor the visual treat and bling it on. And, now you know a great place to shop when we want to buy a piece of jewelry.

  16. Have heard of Bluestone in the online space. But was actually wondering how successful would an online jewellery site be. Don't women like to see and feel jewellery before buying it?

    1. Nah, not these days. With great offers and exchange facility, most women are buying online these days. But yes, when it comes to a heavy purchase, we prefer to look first.

Being Human

Under the roof of winter, Latches of my door open without making a sound. It's cold out there, Someone lost his ground. My soul shivers, Not that I'm cold. Someone from my land, Sleeps under the bridge while dreaming of gold. How can I... tuck myself in the quilt? When the winter storm is blowing, Hopes they have built. I have to get up, Do something... Before I start questioning who am I? And, they start saying...'Humanity dies.' Let's work out something, Take a resolution. Walk across all kinds of bridges, And, just be human... From centuries people are migrating for work or for better opportunities. But, not everyone has a smooth sailing...some live under miserable conditions. Most heart wrenching fact is nobody helps them, not even people from their own countries. I know, everybody is busy chasing the bigger purpose of life. But don't you think we should help people in need? Let's try to be better human being...

I Am Not Alone

Last year blessed me, He walked silently into my life. It was Love, That took me in its stride. One evening we walked holding hands, Then, I told him what I felt in heart. He said we were one soul, Who were living in parts. To bring the parts together, We fought with the world and tied the knot. Being one soul, Gave life a whole new spot. Chirping birds, floating clouds, Nature conspired for us. Always swimming against the tide, Life was in an adrenaline rush. This year cursed me, He walked silently out of my life. It was Death, That took him in its stride.       Yesterday his soul was saying, Fearing memories will fade, he can’t move on. He will stay and admire me, Standing always by my side from dusk to dawn. Rewind - September 2023

I wrote the following in September. Sometimes, I feel I will forget the art of writing couplets because I am not writing at all this year. I strongly believe you have to practice to hone your craft. And I am not doing that. Perhaps I schedule a time to write a poem. Or I need better time management skills. Date Published 09/05/2023 मुझे उसके जाने का इतना अफ़सोस नहीं हुआ  जितना इस बात का कि इतने सालों तक उसे रहने ही क्यों दिया  Love, Saru
