Unfinished Business

As you trail through the valley,
Along with many cuckoos sing.
Soul finds solace in its rhythm,
Striking many chords within.
~ Kashmir, Lyrical Landscape ~

A wide canvas of blue you might think,
Stretching its arm open wide for you.
Punishing you with thunder and claps,
Array of pink, orange, ocean blue.
~ Sky, Myriad Hues ~

Kiss the droplets on my body,
It has never been kissed before.
Hold me tight as you do it,
Leaving it wanting for some more.
~ Body to Body ~

Slender or plump,
Wrapped or partially nude.
I am what I am,
I proudly wear my attitude.
~ Head Held High ~

Sometimes, I feel you are in me,
Yet sometimes, all agog,
I run after you.
Sometimes, you speak a million words,
Yet, I feel,
The unsaid is overdue.
~ Vagabond in Love ~

*These are opening verses of the poems I am unable to complete. Which one you like the most? And sorry for not replying to your comments and reading your blogs, there were some unfinished businesses in real world.

Romance has always been the first choice and its the same here too.

As women a lot in the real world happens to keep us away from our passions but then its only us who can keep the real and reel world in harmony. Hope you finish your business and soon and get back with a bang.

  22. Ohhh! Are they incomplete? I am too intelligent to understand that :P What I can understand was the emotions you shared through the words...

    TC! Keep smiling :)

  23. First why dont you shoot your own pictures they dont need to convey the angst of your words .. you could use your mobile phone too.. borrowed pictures rob your words of their intrinsic ethos of your minds imagery ,, take care ,,that is why I taught photography to my grand kids .. cheers .

  25. The second and the last one are indeed very beautiful. Here's hoping you will find the inspiration to complete these poems :)

  26. You need to finish all of them sweety....but if I have to prioritize it will definitely be
1)Body-To-Body...the pic is so vivacious and just gets me all jiggled up and the words make me sweat....

2)Head Held High - always want that...I read somewhere a funny thing that if I ever let my head down, that will be only for admiring my own shoes :)

3)Vagabond in love - The last couplet captured my attention and I definitely want to know how the unsaid makes up the most.

    4) SKy Myriad Hues and Kashmir, Lyrical Landscape....As a nature lover I enjoy those simple pleasures the most.

So which one are you choosing to finish 1st? hint: pick my 1st choice :D

Being Human

Under the roof of winter, Latches of my door open without making a sound. It's cold out there, Someone lost his ground. My soul shivers, Not that I'm cold. Someone from my land, Sleeps under the bridge while dreaming of gold. How can I... tuck myself in the quilt? When the winter storm is blowing, Hopes they have built. I have to get up, Do something... Before I start questioning who am I? And, they start saying...'Humanity dies.' Let's work out something, Take a resolution. Walk across all kinds of bridges, And, just be human... From centuries people are migrating for work or for better opportunities. But, not everyone has a smooth sailing...some live under miserable conditions. Most heart wrenching fact is nobody helps them, not even people from their own countries. I know, everybody is busy chasing the bigger purpose of life. But don't you think we should help people in need? Let's try to be better human being...

I Am Not Alone

Last year blessed me, He walked silently into my life. It was Love, That took me in its stride. One evening we walked holding hands, Then, I told him what I felt in heart. He said we were one soul, Who were living in parts. To bring the parts together, We fought with the world and tied the knot. Being one soul, Gave life a whole new spot. Chirping birds, floating clouds, Nature conspired for us. Always swimming against the tide, Life was in an adrenaline rush. This year cursed me, He walked silently out of my life. It was Death, That took him in its stride.       Yesterday his soul was saying, Fearing memories will fade, he can’t move on. He will stay and admire me, Standing always by my side from dusk to dawn. Rewind - September 2023

I wrote the following in September. Sometimes, I feel I will forget the art of writing couplets because I am not writing at all this year. I strongly believe you have to practice to hone your craft. And I am not doing that. Perhaps I schedule a time to write a poem. Or I need better time management skills. Date Published 09/05/2023 मुझे उसके जाने का इतना अफ़सोस नहीं हुआ  जितना इस बात का कि इतने सालों तक उसे रहने ही क्यों दिया  Love, Saru
