Cry of a Mother

Half of the time, I smiled,
For the better half, I raised him.
I painted his future with fine strokes,
I put amber where light was dim.

What went wrong?
I wish I could answer, I wish I knew.
I wish my flesh and blood,
Gave me a better adieu.

Till the last tear they will shed in grief,
I'll remain by their side.
Weeping in silent tears,
I'm shaking from inside.

Hold me tight, as tight it can be,
Though my soul is trying to break free.

  11. This was an extremely unfortunate incident. We don't know what to blame- the gun laws or the lack of treatment and acceptance for the disabled. The heart cries for the innocent kids but in someway sympathizes with the killer as well, as he was just 20!

You captured both the emotions perfectly. And even though my heart is heavy, I loved the post.

  52. OMG! I am so so sorry, Saru. Not sure how I missed this. :(

A beautiful and poignant post from the perspective of the mother. I was so devastated when I heard this news, how can someone even think of killing their own mother and so many innocent children? I get so disturbed if I start to even think about it. But is the mother partly to be blamed in this incident for being a 'gun enthusiast'? Well America seriously need to take a re-look at their gun laws. Such incidents are happening way too often. :(
