Happiness is a State of Mind

Image
It rained a lot when I wanted sunshine, I was so messed up but I said I was fine. It takes two to tango but one to leave it behind, Happiness, they say, is a state of mind.
I cried a lot, then wiped tears with a smile, I complained, I cursed, but only for a while. To all my sorrows, I always leave you behind, Because I know, happiness is a state of mind.
I faced a storm, what can wind do to me? I worked my way up, from nobody to somebody. I collect happy moments like I am a child, I learnt through misery, happiness is a state of mind.
There are always many slips between cup and my lips, I care less for 'things', more for my relationships. It's not that complex, it's not a struggle to find, Happiness, for sure, is a state of mind.
You pick a card, toss it or keep, It's up to you, which side you want to heap. No one will build it for you, it's not even destined, Work a little, happiness is just a state of mind.

Love Never Dies

Image
Clear all the foliage on the path,  He forgets where I rest. He walks on familiar roads,  The ones marked with my address.
You cover it with dried leaves,  Dried memories and drowned hope. Don't blame him, if he can't trace, Path leading to my dusty abode.
Once a year he comes soaked in tears,  Blaming me, cursing for I betrayed. Renders the same soliloquy,  Same for the last one decade.
It's October again,  He will rub off layers of dust. Whisper few memories on the grave of lady,  He once dearly loved.
Eons from now, we shall be again,  Same couple with starry eyes. I am dead, he will die,  But love, love never dies.
The lump in his throat, his heavy heart,  My stony grave moans for him. Of all the seasons, he must now get,  His share of spring.
Till then, clear all the foliage, He forgets where I rest. He walks where we spent our evenings,  The one with my last address.
