*This poem tries to portray the feelings of a friend who lost her husband in an accident a week back. He was hit by a car driven by young boys who were heavily drunk. It was her first birthday after marriage and she is seven months pregnant.

  1. Oh my God :( No words could provide her any solace at this moment, but still, your friend will be in my prayers. Hope, God gives her the strength to carry on.

While reading the poetry, though it was very beautiful, I was wishing there is no real-life inspiration behind it. Your words are beautiful, the pain though, is unending and ugly.

May the departed rest in peace and may God give strength to the family, to bear this huge loss.

  2. This is so sad. Will they live with this guilt that they destroyed a happy family with their callous attitude ?

  3. The emotion overwhelms the words, as also any critical faculty one may possess. Reminds me of a Ghazal I wrote many years ago on an Indian's death in one of those senseless US Campus massacres:

It was suitably composed and sung and posted on Orkut(those were the days), went semi viral and in a few days the girl's family contacted us saying that the Ghazal had offered them some solace. Your words will undoubtedly offer some solace to your friend. Our prayers!

  15. Gives me goosebumps and makes me numb to think what must that woman be thinking of right now. Shocked. Petrified. And life sometimes is really not fair. :(

  16. That is devastating. Makes my heart heavy just imagining what the family must be going through. A precious life lost due to carelessness of some drunk morons, makes me sad and angry. I hope your friend and her family gets the strength to face the most devastating phase of their life. Your beautiful words lend an emotional and poignant touch, Saru.

  30. Absolutely sad to know the context. We never realise that small acts of ours done without much thought, can change the life of someone for ever.

All I can say is please be by her side and give her strength and courage to rebuild her life.

  37. I am speechless. I can’t express my sadness in words and I can’t even try to imagine the burden of pain and unending grief your friend would be going through. Sometimes silence is the best solace I can offer. For a moment, your words took me into the realms of the agony and pain that would have come to occupy her soul. The pain is hers to shoulder but through your poem you have alleviated it a little by letting us feel the same pain. May God and lovely friends like you be with her in this testing time and give her the inner strength. I will pray!

  53. Felt very sad about your friend.I dont why god chose people for shock therepy and for a normal person it is very hard to digest that it has happened and people start asking question to god the same way as you potrayed the emotion of her through your poem. No words can heal her wounds but shedding tears will definately lighten her heart and I will pray to God to give her strength and move on in life and find happiness within herself.

Can you help suggest as to how can I write or publish a post in hindi on my blog?

  59. The bereavement is inconsolable; It is hard that someone has to pay for the misdeeds of others, and the shock that it brings.

May God give her strength, from within and from everyone else around to cope with it and have a healthy baby. May the baby bring a different kind of happiness to her life.
